Syrian Forces Enter Ancient City Of Palmyra

It has been reported by the Syrian State Tv that government troops have entered the ancient city of Palmyra. Palmyra  has been under the control of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group since May last year.

Deadly Suicide Bombing Hits Iraqi Checkpoint

A checkpoint located on a highway, south of the Iraqi capital was attacked by what is beleived to be a suicide bomber. Several civilians, were either killed or wounded in the attack. The attack hasnt been claimed yet, but all eyes are on the   so called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group,which has carried out several similar attacks in the past.
